Youth Justice in 2020

This election (November 3rd) we will vote on the most powerful decision-makers in the justice system at the local level: District Attorney and juvenile court judges. To help you navigate the available information, we have put together a guide of resources and initiatives to help you make informed decisions at the polls come November.

The Platform for Youth Justice

Ubuntu Village NOLA is part of a coalition of more than 20 other non-profit organizations forming The Platform for Youth Justice. The Platform’s goal is to ensure that the District Attorney and judicial candidates leave behind lock’em up policies of the past and support kids in building brighter futures. Youth Justice Forums:

The Platform for Youth Justice (PFYJ) is hosting two public forums, one with juvenile court justice candidates and another with district attorney candidates via ZOOM. To attend, send your RSVP to platformforyouthjustice@gmail.com

  • October 1st (6:30 – 8 pm): Forum on Juvenile Court Judge Candidates
  • October 10th (10 – 11:30 am): Forum on District Attorney Candidates

People’s DA Coalition
